Mark your calendar for these upcoming Parent Club events and fundraiser!

At Old Mission School, we’re proud of the strong sense of community that makes our school so special. One of the best parts of that community is the many family-owned businesses that contribute their time, talents, and services to support our students and programs.

We’re excited to announce the creation of the Old Mission School Family Business Directory — a place where families can share their business information and connect with one another. This directory will help us build partnerships, promote local family-run businesses, and strengthen our network of support within the OMS community.

It's time for the Parent Club Turkey Dinner Raffle! All proceeds will benefit the 2026 OMS Musical, Aladdin Jr.

One lucky winner will receive a complete Thanksgiving meal — including a frozen turkey, a Costco pumpkin pie, sparkling cider, and all the classic holiday sides!

Raffle tickets are $10 each and will be sold in front of the office at pickup on November 4th, 5th, 12th, 17th, and 18th. The winner will be announced on November 19th.

It's Book Fair time, and that new book smell is in the air! Save the date to shop the Book Fair in-person next week, November 4-6.

The book fair will be open from 1:45-4 PM on November 4th, 11:45 AM-1 PM on November 5th, and 1:45-3:30 PM on November 6th. No cash will be accepted. Only credit card or Scholastic e-Wallet purchases will be accepted.

Whether your student is brand new to chess or already a budding strategist, the OMS after-school Chess Club is the perfect place to grow their skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Open to OMS students in third through eighth-grade.

Session Dates: October 1st - December 17th (no session on November 12th)
When: Wednesdays from 3-4 PM
Where: OMS Main Campus, Pavilion
Cost: $125

The original Key Dates marked October 6th as a "no-school" day. This is incorrect. There will be school for students on Monday, October 6th. The school calendar has been updated.

Jamba Juice Thursdays for the first half of the school year is here! Pick a size and flavor for your student and their smoothie will be available for pick-up at dismissal on the selected Thursdays beginning on September 4th. The students love this fundraiser and all funds go directly to supporting Old Mission School! The order deadline is September 1st.

Join us at Brooks Burgers in San Luis Obispo this Thursday, August 21st, from 4–7pm and enjoy a delicious dinner while supporting our 7th graders’ Yosemite trip this September! 🍔 Brooks Burgers will generously donate 15% of your purchase back to our class — just be sure to mention "Old Mission School" before placing your order.
