Parent Service Hours

Parent service is an integral part of the Old Mission School community. We rely on your talents, service, and generosity to benefit students and the school community as a whole. The minimum service hour commitment is 25 hours per year per family. At least 15 hours must be contributed to the Old Mission School Thrift store. 


The service commitment must be satisfied by April 30. Service hours must be submitted through MobileServe. You are encouraged to submit your hours as you complete them. Hours completed after April 30 will apply to the next school year.


Food and beverage donations can contribute towards your OMS service hours. Every $20 purchased equals one service hour. You must upload a copy of your receipt when logging your hours in MobileServe. 


A $20 per hour ($500 maximum) will be assessed to families who do not complete their service hours.

Mission Thrift Volunteer Hours

Volunteer hours at Mission Thrift MUST be completed by a family member over the age of 21. Also, please be aware that, for the safety and convenience of our Thrift Store operation, the premises are under electronic video surveillance, and notices are posted in the Thrift Store to this effect. 
 
The following thrift store schedule distributes volunteer time throughout the year. The schedule is based on the enrollment of your youngest child. Uncompleted Thrift Store hours are billed monthly at the conclusion of each assigned period at the rate of $20 per hour. 
 
  • 8th grade - August
  • 7th - September
  • TK/K- October
  • 1st - November
  • 2nd - December
  • 3rd - January
  • 4th- February
  • 5th - March
  • 6th - April
  • May, June, and July are reserved for parents completing their Thrift Store hours ahead of the new school year.
